Hi, my name is Wyatt Harris. I am 9 years old, this is my first year participating in 4-H. I am a member of Lake 4-H club and I chose a swine project in hopes to make enough money to be able to afford a steer for my next project. This was a very challenging year to be in 4-H because we couldn't do our normal meetings and get all the information on showing the animals or the best way to exercise them. Thankfully our dad had a little experience from way back when he was in 4-H that he helped me with. We purchased our pig from a breeder in Anderson, Ca and my first pig about died with getting sick from climate change within the first 2 weeks. I was very sad, but the breeder told me to bring him the sick pig and he had another one for me, I was bummed because I really liked the pig I picked, however the pig I have now is named Mike Tyson because he has a cauliflower ear. Mike helped me get through this whole homeschool thing we had to do. When I was frustrated with school work I would go work with my pig and it really helped me. Other activities I enjoy participating in are Awanas, Tai Kwan Do, basketball, dirt bikes and riding horses. Thank you for taking time to read my bio.
